Professional Profile + Project Showcase

This is the source code for my profile website which uses Jekyll and Github Pages in the background.

This site will serve as my professional profile and an archive of my learnings as an engineer. Sometimes there will be reviews of cool new tech here, on other times you may find posts about the books I’m reading. Occasionally, you will find me voicing my opinion on certain topics or writing about new experiences I’ve recently had.

It’s also a space which will serve as a planning board for upcoming projects or as a canvas for brainstorming new ideas.

The portfolio section is my experiment with photography. Items on this page represent a story told in a photographic format. No literature, just a sequence of intriguing photos.

Please note that content for this website is under active development. Stay tuned for new blog posts, cool projects and awesome photo-essays!

Since I’m gonna use this space to build a cache of my technical knowledge which I have acquired over the years, some of the content may be highly technical.

Theme

I found this clean and beautiful Jekyll theme called *folio, published by Lia Bogoev under the MIT license.

This theme is the starting point of my customizations. Following are the changes I made:

There are multiple colors to choose from. Please take a look at _sass/base.scss. Original theme had 6 colors, I added a few more.

More on the original theme:

A simple theme for showcasing your work, emphasis on whitespace, transparency, and helvetica. Live Demo

Contributing

Feel free to contribute new features and theme improvements.

Style improvements, bug fixes and definitely spelling/grammar corrections etc. are especially welcome (and much appreciated ♥ ) via Pull Requests.

Note: You may not appreciate the way my stylesheets are written. That’s because web development is not my cup of tea. So I’d appreciate if someone can help clean and streamline them and ensure they’re bug free and simple to understand. Please fork this repo and initiate a pull request if you would like to help.
